Lenten Food Drive
Throughout Lent, we invite you to participate in the spiritual practice of almsgiving - the sacrificial sharing of our resources to partner with God's work in the world. This year, our almsgiving will be in the form of providing healthy, nonperishable food for our neighbors facing food insecurity. Here's the challenge:
For every meal you eat during Lent, Monday - Saturday, put one healthy, nonperishable food item in a grocery bag (either the bags handed out at church or one of your own). No glass jars please.
Bring the bag to church, and empty the contents in one of the collection bins.
Keep the bag, take it home with you, and repeat the steps above each week during Lent.
The food we collect will go to King's Ridge residents and USCRI refugee families.
