Mission

ESUMC invites all people to know, love, and serve God, each other, and the world.

Core Values

Centered: Our identity is centered in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The teachings of Jesus are our primary source of inspiration, guidance, and unity. We worship the one true God and seek to be led and shaped by the Holy Spirit.

Connectional: We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all people. All are invited, embraced, and belong at God’s table. We provide pathways for connection to experience the healing power of God, to develop healthy relationships, and to strengthen the social fabric of our community. 

Curious: We embrace questions and recognize that answers aren’t always easy or clear. We encourage listening, learning, and dialogue to deepen our faith. God made us creative people, and we strive to explore new insights and opportunities to follow the teachings of Jesus.

Compassionate: We care deeply for each other and our world. We seek to follow Christ’s example of how to act justly, forgive freely, walk humbly, listen respectfully, and give generously. We seek to express our gratitude for God’s many gifts by sharing the message of Christ and actively serving one another and our neighbors with joy, warmth, and kindness.
