New welcome statement

Here is a video message from Pastor Kevin, Eric Johnson (Council Chair) and Sally Burlington (Lay Leader), describing how we are leaning into our new 10 year vision. The video message contains both our new welcome banner and our new welcome statement that will be used in worship. All of this is part of the implementation of our vision, mission, and values with specific tactics - part of which can be accessed here:

• “Create a safe and welcoming church in which all people can experience a deep sense of belonging

• Craft a statement of invitation and welcome for use in communications and worship

• Assess interior and exterior signage to ensure that values are clearly reflectedReview approach to worship and other church activities to identify ways to make them more accessible and inviting to all, no matter a person’s age, life status, educational and economic levels, race/ethnicity, abilities, gender, sexuality, etc.”
