Sunday Morning Hospitality

Do you love to meet new people? Looking for new ways to serve our church? Interested in what it means to be a hospitality volunteer?
To coincide with our new worship schedule beginning on March 9th, we will implement new Sunday morning greeter shifts. We have many doors and want to have a friendly frontline team to welcome all that enter our space. Our shifts will be in 1 hour increments, starting at 7:30am and ending by 12:30pm.

Our hope is to have lots of volunteers for each Sunday shift, some in a regular serving rotation, and others as specific needs arise. As part of growing our volunteers, we are hosting a welcome team interest lunch & training on Sunday, March 23 immediately following the 11:00 service.
Please click here to register for the lunch and/or indicate your availability to serve in a new Sunday morning shift!

If you can't make the lunch and have questions, please reach out to us!  We are so thankful for your consideration.

April 2025

Meet members of the youth group on April 6th in the Sanctuary after the 11am worship service to box up and count food items donated during the Lenten food drive.  One hour of community service is available. If any 16+ members of the youth are also interested in helping to drive the food over to our mission partners, we can help load up your car!

Also, we hope to see many of you and your parents that same morning at 10:10am in the Chapel/Chapel Annex for a Church in the City gathering titled "Welcoming the Stranger", where we'll hear from local experts on the complexities of immigration, how people are being impacted locally, and how we can come alongside our immigrant and refugee neighbors. Hope to see you there!

Summer 2025

Camp Shalom is a week-long, all-day Christian day camp at Umstead State Park sponsored by Edenton Street United Methodist Church, entering its 44th season. Camp consists of white shirts (elementary aged kids), blue shirts (rising 6th grade), red shirts (rising 7th & 8th grades who serve camp) and yellow shirts (YOU, rising 9th through 12th graders who lead groups or stations during camp). Yellow shirts are the main leaders for their groups during the entire day and will lead with a group of their peers. You are the backbone of camp and make Camp Shalom what it is! We use 50 hours for reporting Volunteer Hours for the full week. Register here!

Camp Shalom - June 23-27

Join us this summer for TRUE NORTH:  Point kids to Jesus, a faithful friend we can always trust! True North VBS will guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North! Adult and Youth Volunteers are needed to help with daily stations and shepherd small groups. We use 20 hours for reporting Volunteer Service Hours for the full week for students requesting it. Register here!

Join eStreet Youth on a Mission Trip to Asheville! We will be joining Asheville Youth Mission for a week of service.

Asheville Youth Mission is about mission, creativity, and transformation with young people.  A lot of our work at AYM is planning and implementing youth mission trips for middle schoolers and high schoolers.  We also use a lot of arts in our reflections on these mission experiences. We also are about partnerships.  We have a lot of long term relationships with dozens of agencies in the greater Asheville area that work with our friends and neighbors who are homeless, living in poverty, food insecure, or in other ways marginalized in our society.

In addition, we are expecting to be working in some form or fashion with hurricane relief. As we have more information, we will update here.
