The church is a place where God’s creative spirit surrounds us with beauty beyond imagination. It is this wonderful connection between God and each of us that allows the creative spirit to soar and blossom through music and all the worship arts.

We offer a variety of music and worship arts programs for a range of ages and genres. Our program includes choirs, handbell choirs, worship bands, dance troupes, drummers, and other instrumental groups.

“Let everything that breathes Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” Psalm 150:6

The heart of our church is our worship life together, with seven worship services distinct in style, but uniform in theology and conviction in the United Methodist tradition.  Singing, dancing, and instrumental music enhance and deepen our spiritual journey together.

CHANCEL CHOIR (Rehearses Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m. in the Choir Room.)

Comprised of approximately 60 voices, the distinguished Chancel Choir sings for the 10:55 a.m. Sanctuary worship service and is divided into smaller ensembles who sing at the 8:40 a.m. Sanctuary worship service. The Chancel Choir also has festival singers who sing for special services throughout the year.  We present major choral works and other special worship services with orchestra several times throughout the year.  The Chancel Choir is comprised of volunteers who give freely of their time to love and serve the Lord and their church through the gift of music. Our choir is open to all adults with a desire to raise their voices in praise to Almighty God.

The handbell choirs are dedicated to learning the art of bell ringing. These groups provide music for Sunday morning worship services and other special services throughout the year.  Bell rehearsals are fun and informal; all that is required is a commitment to learn and make music together.

  • Wesley Handbell Choir (Rehearses Sunday, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Choir Annex.)
  • Bells of Praise (Rehearses Thursday, 6 – 7 p.m. in the Choir Annex.)

Spirit Led Dancers (Rehearses Sunday, 5 – 6 p.m.) The Dance Ministry is for persons interested in dance as a form of worship and art. The dance ministry is incorporated into regular worship services and special programs throughout the year.

Persons who play instruments are encouraged to use these talents by performing as solo instrumentalists, or as groups or ensembles as part of special music for worship services. These persons are used on an “as needed” basis.

“Let everything that breathes Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” Psalm 150:6

We at Edenton Street believe that we have a God-given responsibility along with parents to, “Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) One of the ways we do this is through our Children and Youth Music and Worship Arts Ministry. Through this ministry, Edenton Street seeks to educate our children by discovering, developing, and perfecting their God-given talents in the many worship arts of the church. Children and youth have the opportunity to cultivate their various gifts through singing, ringing bells, and dance, all so that they might grow more fully in their faith. Children and youth use these gifts to help lead in worship as we together glorify God and proclaim the redemption, power, and work of the Holy Spirit through the many worship arts. In addition to regular Sunday morning worship, the children and youth participate in special services throughout the year, as well as serving the greater community beyond the walls of our church.
