Wednesday September 28th from 6:30-8pm in the Garden Gallery of the original campus of Edenton Street UMC.
Christians, Jews, and Muslims share Abraham as the Father of our Faith. And as put forth in Proverbs 4:7, The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. The Prayer of St. Francis asks that we may all “understand as to be understood”. We have a beautiful opportunity to learn, gain understanding and invite conversation with Muslim women in our community at Edenton Street UMC. This event is for everyone, men and women, across all worship campuses and neighborhoods. Three incredible and dynamic women of the Islamic faith will be with us to discuss the tenets of their faith, life in Raleigh, NC today, and commonalities that we all hold for peace. We are grateful to United Methodist Women for making this event possible. Renae Newmiller will guide our time together as well as moderate our questions. Light dessert will be served and free childcare is available with reservation. We ask that you register your attendance, so that we might well prepare for your time at this exciting event.
Registration is available here.
