2019 Spiritual Gifts Workshop and Volunteer Celebration

Spiritual Gifts Workshop and Volunteer Celebration

We all have spiritual gifts. And every one of these gifts is important as we gather, worship, pray and use our hands and feet to serve God and others.

On Saturday, Oct. 19, a Spiritual Gifts Workshop will be led at Edenton St. by the Rev. Christina Turner of Wrightsville Beach, along with our own Rev. Will McLeane. You’ll be able to take an assessment of your own spiritual gifts and learn how to put them into action. The workshop is from 8:30 a.m. until noon. It’s free, but please register here by Oct. 13. Childcare will be provided if you indicate you need it.

On Sunday, Oct. 20, a Volunteer Celebration will be held on our church campus to celebrate our volunteers and to learn about opportunities to serve in our church, community and beyond. We’ll have only two worship services that day: a contemporary Gathering service at 9:30 a.m. in Kerr Hall and a traditional service in the Sanctuary at 11 a.m. Rev. Christina Turner will preach at both. From 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., we’ll have information throughout the Commons and Chapel areas about the many ways to serve in Children’s Ministry, Hospitality and Evangelism, Missions, Worship, Music Ministry, Caring Ministry and Youth Ministry. (All other Sunday programs, including Sunday School, continue on a regular schedule.)
