The class uses a blend of Sunday School quarterly series, books, class member led lessons and outside speakers to offer a diverse program that addresses ongoing interests of the class. Varied topics including Bible studies, social issues, the church's responsibility in our community, church history and many others invite lively open discussion.
Class members have the opportunity to be involved in hands on missions of the church. Examples of the mission efforts of the CrossTalk Class include providing the Saturday night meal for the Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network weeks at the church, providing and serving meals at the Ark Shelter, sponsoring families at Christmas and participating in disaster recovery efforts. Other mission efforts include CrossTalk's sponsorship of several campers at the Church's annual Camp Shalom and administration of the Wiley Scholarship Fund, a scholarship program in memory of John and June Wiley, which provides funding assistance to eligible adults interested in going back to college to complete their undergraduate degree.
Class sponsored socials include activities such as monthly luncheons (first Sunday of each month), eating out, game night at the Durham Bulls, ACC parties, day trips, picnics, and progressive dinners. Other social times involve smaller groups of class members doing things together. Socials are planned so that all families in the class, whether single or married, with children or no children, have the opportunity to share times of fun and fellowship outside the Sunday morning class time.

The Class meets for dinner on the Fourth Friday Night of each month. The Restaurant/Cafeteria changes but the meeting place for the current month is announced in our Class on Sunday and an email announcement will be sent to each member. Call a Class Member if you missed the announcement. Please join us!

Life Trends and Parenting. DIVERSITY best describes the Jubilee Class. Diverse in its interest, strengths, backgrounds and ages of its members...from no children, young children, adolescents, to grandchildren. Because of this, we have so much to offer each other; thus, we are a discussion-centered class. Jubilee means "celebration, an expression of joy." There is no doubt, we like to have a good time. But, we gain so much more...close friendships, a support group, a cheering squad, a shoulder to cry on. Come celebrate with us and join our family. Everyone is welcome!
Urban Ministry, Missions, TRAIN, and Camp Shalom are a few of our Mission and Outreach programs. Many class members are involved in the Church's music, children's, youth and adult programs.
Progressive dinners, picnics, and a Christmas party.
