Mission Possible Kids

Mission Possible Kids is an ESUMC summer program that consists of six fun-filled, mission-packed Wednesdays (9am-2pm) for rising 3rd-5th graders.  "Agents" (children) will come together to learn how to be the hands and feet of Jesus through hands-on mission activities, devotion, fun and fellowship.

Activities will vary from helping with the Interfaith Food Shuttle's Community Garden to Meals on Wheels to helping with efforts in Haiti and around the globe.  Kids can sign-up for as many Wednesdays as they wish.  Adult help is needed, too!!  Individual program descriptions can be viewed here.  Below are the Summer 2010 dates.  Just click on the date to sign-up...

ESUMC Monthly Food Drive

Thank you for your continued support to help feed our hungry neighbors!  Sometimes its hard to believe that 1 in 8 of our neighbors lives in poverty.  By bringing food you help Urban Ministries provide nourishment for 25 to 40 families a day.  July is breakfast cereals, cereal bars and grits month.  So please consider purchasing these items the next time you're at the store to help those in need.  Thanks!

Troop Ministry Needs

We are collecting items for Care Packages in support of our Church’s military members. We also plan to support two Chaplains currently serving in Afghanistan. Each Chaplain provides spiritual support to HUNDREDS of soldiers. They also run a “Chapel Exchange” stocked with the contributions sent by supporters like us! The Troops Collection baskets are at

the CurtisCenter Lobby and Poindexter Lobby.  Please take this list with you and use it to help donate items.

Troop Ministry Care Package Items:

Tents

It is now the rainy season in Haiti.  While there are many tarps, tents are especially needed.  Tents can help keep the ground dry, enabling people to lie down to sleep.
