Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide a positive, Christian environment for men to come together in fellowship and enjoy a relaxing, fun-filled weekend of fishing.
General Information:
This fishing trip is open to all men that are 18 years and older and active in the life of Edenton St. United Methodist Church. If you are interested in fishing and fellowshipping with other Christian men, we would like to have you join us.
The best part of the trip is that you do not have to know how to fish or even own fishing equipment! We always have extra fishing rods and there is always someone around willing to help “the new guy”.
Dates, Times, and Places:
We will be leaving for Rodanthe early morning on Thursday, April 23rd. Usually there are carpools leaving at various times throughout the day.
At Rodanthe, we rent a large, multi-bedroom house – either on the beach or having nearby beach access.
We fish on Thursday afternoon and all day on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday morning, we attend church service before returning home in the afternoon.
Cost:
$225 per person - This “all-inclusive” price covers bait, food, and lodging. All you have to do is bring your personal items and fishing equipment.
This does not, however, cover the cost of your Coastal Recreational Fishing License
(See “IMPORTANT” note
below).
IMPORTANT:
Any
person, 16 and older, who fishes recreationally in any water designated as coastal and joint waters of North Carolina must purchase a Coastal Recreational Fishing License (CRFL). The annual cost of the CRFL for a North Carolina resident is $15.
The CRFL is available from any Division of Marine Fisheries office, Wildlife Resources Commission (WRC) license agents (which include most Wal-Mart and Bait and Tackle stores), online at the WRC's website
http://www.ncwildlife.org/
or by calling toll-free 888-248-6834.
